In Summer 2025, I toured China as part of a collaborative project centered on performing and sharing each other’s original compositions. This experience was deeply meaningful to me, as it was built on listening, mutual respect, and friendship. Performing alongside Tianyu Zhang (bass) and Taibai Moe (piano), we approached each concert as a space for dialogue, where improvisation and rhythm became a common language beyond cultural boundaries. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to share this music internationally and for the artistic exchange and friendships that grew from this journey.

- It has been a long journey. I started playing drums when I was 15 years old. By the time I was playing in the school band, and later on, I joined various local bands. From my 17s to 21, I played in rock and metal bands that gave me my first experience of working with people. Through collaborative work, we could deliver our art and were part of an active music scene not only in my hometown, Quito, Ecuador, but also in different countries in Latin America where we performed.
